Investing

Economics 

  • The Core PCE (the measure used by the Fed) was up 5.2% year-over-year, but spending data released today was strong. (CNBC)
  • Companies jump on the opportunity a rising CPI gives them to increase prices beyond what may be warranted. (Vox)
  • Not everyone feels inflation the same way or to the same extent. (Minneapolis Fed)
  • Pending home sales are down for the third month in a row, but inventories are still tight. (Yahoo Finance)

 

Economics/Demographics

Beth Tallman entered the working world armed with an MBA in finance and thoroughly enjoyed her first career working in manufacturing and telecommunications, including a stint overseas. She took advantage of an involuntary separation to try teaching high school math, something she had always dreamed of doing.
