Curriculum Announcement: All PLAYs and MOVEs Revamped!

Shake off the winter blues with PLAYs and MOVEs! NGPF just revamped all 40 of these fun activities. See what’s new, plus check out 2 new PLAY activities!

MOVE and PLAY activities are designed to keep students engaged through movement or a classroom game. You can find them on the Unit Pages.

What’s New?

The revamp focused on making these activities easier than ever to implement. Here are 3 key changes:

  1. The new summary box at the top of each PLAY and MOVE activity overviews everything you need to know.
  2. Streamlined materials simplify lesson prep. Every PLAY and MOVE activity has a teacher guide with a summary box, bullet-point directions, and ready-to-go student materials. Plus, we’ve added slide decks to more activities to help tie everything together
  3. Reformatted card decks are easier to cut out and organize. Cards are evenly sized for quick prep with a paper cutter and include labels for easy reuse

Types of MOVE Activities

MOVE activities come in all different shapes and sizes. We’ve classified them by “movement type,” so it's easy to get a gist of how students will move during the activity.

Here are some of the different movement types you’ll see:
