Since the very beginning, NGPF has aligned our lesson guides to the industry-wide standards for personal finance: Nothing's changed there! But, we're pleased to announce we're now offering the NGPF Semester Course crosswalked to the National Standards for Personal Financial Education -- all in one convenient document!
[Post last updated July 31,2024]
Over 16 pages, you'll find the 12th grade standards from the National Standards separated into their six topics (Earning Income, Spending, Saving, Investing, Managing Credit, Managing Risk) and multiple learning outcomes; for each learning outcome, you'll find a list and link to each NGPF Semester Course lesson that addresses that learning outcome. In the few instances where NGPF Semester Course lessons don't hit every part of the learning outcome, we've provided links to other NGPF resources (FinCap Fridays, ECON activities, Mini-unit or Financial Algebra lessons, etc.) that fulfill the need. In all cases, we link to the lesson or resource live on the NGPF website, so you're guaranteed to find the most current version as well as the answer key in one convenient place.
But wait, there's more! If you're lucky enough to live in one of these states, NGPF has done a crosswalk for your state's standards to the NGPF Semester Course as well.
We hope these crosswalks help make your transition into the next school year smooth sailing!

When I started working at Next Gen Personal Finance, it's as though my undergraduate degree in finance, followed by ten years as an educator in an NYC public high school, suddenly all made sense.
