Math Monday: Financial Algebra A-G Template

Get your Financial Algebra course to count as an A-G approved course in California! We’ve created an A-G course approval template to streamline the process.

What is A-G?

California state colleges set baseline course requirements called “A-G”. To enroll, students must pass a specific set of classes that are approved A-G courses.

Financial Algebra A-G Template

FINANCIAL ALGEBRA COURSE A-G COURSE APPROVAL TEMPLATE

The template explains how the Financial Algebra course aligns with the University of California’s criteria for a mathematics (C) course

It includes:

  • A course overview
  • An overview of each unit
  • The major math topics covered in each unit
  • An assignment that demonstrates key learning for each unit

Using the A-G Template

  1. Make a copy of the template by selecting File > Make a copy
  2. Insert your school name, and additional details into the highlighted yellow fields
  3. Make any other modifications you'd like to the document
  4. Use for your approval process!

Can I use this outside of California?

While A-G is specific to California, you might find the template useful for course approval in other states. You can pull the course and unit overviews to provide a thorough summary of the course.
