Federal policy changes are already being implemented for the 2023-2024 FAFSA (yes, in 2022!), which means what you thought you knew about FAFSA may not be correct any more. DOH! Let NGPF help you get up to speed this FAFSA season. Our number one recommendation to make sure you're ready is...
RECOMMENDATION 1: Take the brand new 2023-2024 FAFSA Basics On-Demand module. If you did the 2022-23 version previously, much of the content will seem familiar, except it is up-to-date with the most recent FAFSA changes. And, even if you earned the previous On-Demand credit, you are eligible for an additional hour of credit for completing the new version, which means one more hour toward your My NGPF Academy and the next round of quarterly swag.
RECOMMENDATION 2: Get your students excited to learn about paying for college by letting them participate in the Payback Challenge, with a chance to win one of multiple $2500 Grand Prizes. Submissions are due November 16, 2022.
RECOMMENDATION 3: Can you answer the question What is one major change to expect in the FAFSA starting in the fall of 2022? Learn alongside your students with the most recent FAFSA-themed FinCap Friday: Major Changes to FAFSA.
RECOMMENDATION 4: Let NGPF do the lesson planning for you: Semester Course lesson 6.2 - Applying for the FAFSA leaves nothing up to chance -- it's got a FinCap Friday, an Edpuzzle, 2 articles, and a DO IT activity for students to work through. Everything you need for a full lesson on FAFSA!
The world of personal finance is always changing, and NGPF is committed to keeping you informed and up-to-date. If there are other topics you need similar suggestions for, let us know!
