NGPF On-Demand: Kiddie IRAs

NGPF On-Demand is a professional development opportunity that allows teachers to deepen their content knowledge on their own schedule and at their own pace.

One of the 23 modules available is “Kiddie IRAs”. This module teaches basic information about Kiddie IRAs and how to prepare and motivate students to open them. 

 

Here are some highlights from the module: 

  • Learn the characteristics and benefits of Kiddie/Custodial IRAs and share your learning with other teachers. Here is a peek at one collaborative board in the module:

 

 

  • Watch a video and read an article to learn more about the differences between Traditional and Roth IRAs. 
  • Watch a quick interview with JaVon Colbert, who was featured in Money Magazine, and shares what motivated him to open and contribute to a Kiddie/Custodial IRA.
