Teacher Talk
Thanks to a partnership with Valley City State University (VCSU), teachers in North Dakota can now receive state CEUs for completing professional development courses through Next Gen Personal Finance. North Dakota joins 33 other states in accepting NGPF PD for CEU credit.
Here are the details for North Dakota teachers:
Complete at least 15 hours total of NGPF PD to earn one VCSU graduate professional development credit. Once you have earned certificates of completion for 15 hours of NGPF PD, you may register for VCSU graduate professional development credit using a verification form.
VCSU accepts NGPF PD dated within one year (Aug. 1-July 31) and offers the credit within the semester the form is completed. To access the forms and see more details as well as contact information, visit VCSU’s website.
NGPF deeply values the professional development of educators across the country, which is why we offer Virtual PD, On-Demand Modules, and Certification Courses for specific Personal Finance topics, free of charge! Many states accept Certification Courses as CEU credit. Teachers nationwide have earned 10,000+ certifications to date.
As this example indicates, we are always looking to add more states to our list. If your state does not currently accept NGPF PD for CEUs, please let us know if you can help. Email statepdcredits@ngpf.org with information!
