What's New with Paying for College & FAFSA?

In case you missed it, the FAFSA went through a major update last year. The FAFSA simplification process delayed the release of the 2024-2025 FAFSA until December 2023. However, traditionally the FAFSA releases on October 1st each year. So when will the 2025-2026 FAFSA be released?

According to the U.S. Department of Education, the 2025-2026 FAFSA will be released to a limited set of students and institutions of higher education on October 1, 2024 for beta testing. The Department will make the FAFSA available to all students on or before December 1, 2024.

NGPF is hosting Virtual PD sessions to learn more about the FAFSA and the updated Paying for College resources ready to use in your classroom.
