Teacher Tip: FINE PRINT: Financial Aid Package

NGPF Fine Print activities give students practice at reviewing and analyzing important financial documents. One of the most important documents students will encounter - especially as they prepare for college - is their financial aid package. For many students, receiving a financial aid package is exciting, but reviewing its details can be overwhelming. That's where NGPF's FINE PRINT: Financial Aid Package activity comes in.

In this activity, students review a financial aid package, recognize different forms of financial aid, identify key information in a financial aid letter, and strategies to compare differing financial aid letters.

In the Teacher Tip video, Amanda Volz will walk you through the activity and share a few ideas for classroom implementation.

Bonus! There are many other activities in the Paying for College unit that have accompanying Teacher Tip videos. Read more about the Teacher Tip Videos (Re)Launch

What are Teacher Tip videos?

Teacher Tip videos are short videos exploring a range of NGPF activities through the eyes of veteran personal finance teacher and NGPF super user, Amanda Volz. Teacher Tip videos are designed to guide teachers through the activity and offer tips, tricks, and ideas for implementing the activity in the classroom.

Where can I find Teacher Tip videos?

Teacher Tip video can be found in two places:

  1. Linked at the top of the activity document. Note: not all NGPF activities have a Teacher Tip video.
  2. In the Teacher Tip Videos section of the NGPF Video Library
