Teacher Talk
This past summer, NGPF hosted FinCamps—FREE in-person professional development for middle and high school educators who teach personal finance concepts—in 15 cities across the country. Here's what some of the 866 participants had to say about NGPF FinCamps and why you don't want to miss out on the next tour.
"NGPF is FREE!!! I did not realize that this resource is available to anyone that wants to use it for life!"
"I have worked with your resources for about 3 years. I have learned so many new things by attending the FinCamp. I love the diversity of all the activities and that it is constantly updated. Of course, the networking with others who teach is so important."
"I love how you offer a turn-key curriculum. I am leaving with new ways on how to implement your lessons and activities in my classroom."
"A big takeaway for me was seeing how you modeled using an NGPF lesson from beginning to end - this really helped me visualize how to use lesson materials in an engaging way!"
"I was so impressed with the collaboration. I learned about different resources and some really fun activities to get my students moving!"
"Seeing how others make effective use of the curriculum is a great aid in helping me improve my practice."
"Great opportunity to network with other teachers. Also, it's great to practice some of the lessons to get a feel for how it's intended to be done or how it can be modified."
"We are surrounded by a number of caring and talented teachers...love having the chance to make these connections and meet so many great educators."
"Thank you!! You not only increased my knowledge but revitalized my excitement about the curriculum."
"I'm now ready to attack my first days and week of the new middle school elective course because everything was made available from NGPF."
"I am leaving FinCamp with so many ideas and excitement to start the school year! I feel much better prepared to implement the NGPF curriculum and am excited to continue learning more. I feel like I will be able to deliver the curriculum more effectively to my students and will make my Financial Algebra class exciting."
"Than you very much. It is unbelievable how much NGPF has made me a better teacher, investor, collaborator, and overall a better person! Thank you!"
Additionally, congratulations to the 64 FinCamp participants who earned graduate credit by completing the partnership course with Bridgewater State University!
Stay tuned for our 2025 NGPF FinCamp dates & locations!
